Preparation of water facility planning documents, water conservation and management plan, water main line extension design and construction overview, system as-built plans, water system capacity analysis, and assisting staff with system trouble shooting.  Includes very close coordination with State (DEQ, OWRD) and Federal (EPA) agencies regarding water quality, quantity, area aquifer impacts, and public health.

Rules for water quality and operating a municipal water system are governed by the EPA and DEQ.  As we experienced when the arsenic Maximum Contaminant Level (MCL) was reduced, changes in law are ongoing and the impact to communities can be very significant, in terms of infrastructure cost and ongoing operations.  We understand water quality requirements and water system operation and work proactively with the City to maximize the infrastructure in place and minimize capital outlay.  We balance planning for the future with finding solutions that are affordable for today’s rate payers.
